Calories in Red Wine

So you’re wondering how many calories in red wine?

The answer is...it depends. It depends upon the size of your wine glass and what type of red wine you’re drinking.

A typical 4 oz glass of red wine will contain between 80 and 120 calories, depending upon the variety of wine and its alcohol content. The higher the alcohol content, the higher the calories.

Okay, let’s get real for a moment, shall we? When an occasion calls for enjoying a glass or two of wine, should you really care?

Wouldn’t you rather enjoy yourself, eat a bit less food and walk an extra few miles the following day?

If you’re serious about loosing weight, it’s best to make lifestyle changes that will continue on long after one evening out.

So go ahead and enjoy that glass of red wine. Just forgo the 500 calorie desserts and eat a healthy diet of lean proteins, complex carbohydrates and lots of fruits and vegetables. And don’t forget to get regular exercise.

I know! How about walking to the wine bar?
